Photography Club

Updated: Sep 17

New members always welcome!

The Norton St Philip Photography Club meet at the Palairet Hall on the first Tuesday of each month - coffees/teas/chat from 7pm, meeting from 7.30pm until around 9pm.

The meetings generally start with a short talk when we have one set up and then we share  our photos on USB sticks using the Palairet's excellent new projector. Many of our shared photos are taken on phones so no special equipment is needed.

We also arrange photo visits – usually the first Tuesday of the month with a review of the photos at the following month's meeting.

We charge £5 each on the door to cover the cost of the Palairet Hall booking and to fund any future speakers or excursions. Occasionally we meet at a location during the day for a visit instead of meeting at the hall.

We are encouraging rather than competitive and we participate in some exhibitions but don't hold any competitions.

Members receive a monthly email with a non-compulsory photo theme and talk topic for the next few meetings.

Keep an eye on this page and Norton St Philip Noticeboard on Facebook for details of forthcoming meetings.  The present plan is:

  • Tues 7 Oct 25: Visit to Avebury, sharing own cars.

  • Tues 4 Nov 25: Meeting at Palairet Hall 7 for 7.30pm.  No presentation planned; non-compulsory theme for extended photo sharing (say 20 photos each) Bath and Somerset or Ancient sites and landscapes (which of course includes 5 Aug Bath photo walk and Avebury)

  • Tues 2 Dec 25: Meeting at Palairet Hall 7 for 7.30pm.  No presentation planned; non-compulsory theme for extended photo sharing (say 20 photos each) Festivities

Please contact nspphotoclub@gmail.com to be added to the email list or ask any questions; or just come along to a meeting.
