Coming soon to the Palairet Hall, try both on January 12th.
Introducing new Monday morning dance classes at the Palairet Hall in 2026, with local resident and RAD, ISTD and BTDA-qualified teacher Claire Jenkin.
Come along on Monday 12th January to try adult ballet and/or tap, a great workout for all ages:
10am for ballet for one hour
11.05 for tap for 45 minutes
Numbers will be limited so please register your interest by emailing cjenkin2202@outlook.com. Cost for the trial will be £5.50 for ballet and £4.50 for tap, payable in advance. Going forwards the cost per class will be £8 for ballet and £6 for tap.
Both disciplines offer differing health benefits:
Ballet emphasizes core strength, spinal alignment, and balanced muscle use, which can counteract desk work and poor posture. You can build long, lean strength especially in the legs, glutes, core and fee using a range of movements through the body. Sculpt and tone your body, boost your wellbeing and enjoy dancing to beautiful music in a supportive atmosphere where everyone is welcome.
Tap Is an excellent cardio workout, with frequent footwork building strength in the calves, ankles, feet, quads and hips - great for functional movement! Rhythm and patterning ensure the brain gets a workout too. Good fun with a great playlist to dance to.
Any questions please contact Claire directly.
